Trading Terminal

The Trading Terminal

whale.ag is a full Hyperliquid perpetuals terminal that runs on your own wallet. The wallet you connect is your Hyperliquid account, so every order is built and signed on your device and sent straight to the exchange — whale.ag never takes custody of funds and never holds your keys. The result is the same self-custodial account you would use on Hyperliquid directly, wrapped in a faster, denser interface built for people who trade seriously.

How trading works here

The terminal puts a live chart, a real order book, a management dock, and an order ticket on a single screen, all fed by one market-data connection so prices, positions, and orders stay in lockstep. Orders are assembled in the browser — price and size rounded to Hyperliquid’s tick and lot rules, signed with your key, and submitted directly to the exchange with no server in the path (a server-side builder is kept as a fallback so an order never fails to construct). Because the account is yours, you keep your own exchange rate limits and referral status; you trade as yourself, not through a shared intermediary.

Live execution is what makes this a terminal rather than a viewer: fills, rejections, and liquidations surface as they happen, and your positions and resting orders re-hydrate the moment the exchange confirms a change.

Placing an order

The order ticket handles market and limit orders in either direction, on cross or isolated margin. Leverage is chosen from a per-asset control and applied to Hyperliquid immediately, so the liquidation price you see reflects the leverage you are about to trade at. Size is entered in USD or in the coin, or dragged on a percentage-of-available slider. Take-profit and stop-loss levels attach to the order with a live profit and ROE preview, and market orders carry a max-slippage guard. Before anything is signed, the ticket previews your liquidation price, order value, margin, and fees — nothing is committed until you approve it, and a “don’t ask again” option removes the confirmation step once you trust it.

Signing every order through a wallet popup is optional. Approving once creates a temporary, trade-only key that signs subsequent orders instantly — see One-Approval Trading.

MarketFills immediately at the best available price, bounded by your slippage guard.
LimitRests at your chosen price until filled or cancelled.
Cross / IsolatedShares margin across your book, or ring-fences it to one position.
LeveragePer-asset multiplier, applied live; higher leverage sits closer to liquidation.
Reduce-OnlyCan only shrink an existing position, never flip it.
Post-Only (ALO)Guarantees a maker order; it will not cross the book.
Take-Profit / Stop-LossAutomatic exit levels on an order or position, with live PnL preview.

Working from the chart

The chart is a full TradingView surface themed for whale.ag, and it doubles as a control panel. Limit, take-profit, stop-loss, and liquidation lines can be dragged directly on the candles to set or move levels, and dragging a resting order’s line modifies it atomically — there is no cancel-then-replace gap where an order briefly disappears. Positions can be closed and their exit levels adjusted from the chart itself. When you are following another trader, their fills overlay the same chart so you can see exactly where they entered and left (see Trader Discovery).

The dock

Beneath the chart, a tabbed dock keeps execution and context one tap apart. Positions show live unrealized PnL and margin with one-tap market closes at 25%, 50%, or 100%; resting orders can be cancelled or edited in place; and your fill history spans every market, where tapping a fill jumps you into that coin. The same dock surfaces the top traders in the market and live smart-money flow, so the intelligence sits next to the order ticket rather than on a separate page.

On mobile

The full ticket lives in a thumb-reachable bottom sheet, so orders can be placed and managed one-handed without losing sight of the chart.

Good to know

Trades carry Hyperliquid’s native builder fee, which you approve once; the details are in the FAQ. Any order you can build can also be shared as a pre-filled link that reconstructs the exact ticket — side, type, leverage, and levels — and carries your referral automatically.
