One-Approval Trading
Approving once lets you trade without a wallet popup on every order. Instead of signing each action by hand, you authorize a temporary, trade-only key that signs your orders, cancels, leverage changes, and take-profit and stop-loss for you — instantly, in the background, while your funds stay locked to your wallet alone.
What one approval buys you
Every action on Hyperliquid is a signed message: placing an order, cancelling it, changing leverage, attaching a take-profit all need a signature from your wallet, which means a popup each time. That is fine for the occasional trade and painful the moment you are scalping or managing a fast book. One-approval trading collapses all of those popups into a single, up-front approval.
When you approve, whale.ag creates a trade agent — a trade-only key that lives in your browser for about seven days. From then on your orders and cancels fire the instant you tap them, with no wallet interruption. This is Hyperliquid’s own approve-agent mechanism, the same native feature the exchange offers directly; whale.ag adds no key custody of its own, it simply wires the exchange’s own primitive into the terminal. The whole thing is optional — leave it off and every order still works the normal way, signed one at a time.
What the key can and cannot do
The safety of the arrangement rests on one fact: the trade agent can only trade. It can place, cancel, and modify orders, change leverage, set take-profit and stop-loss, and close positions — and it can do nothing else. It can never withdraw or move your funds. Withdrawals and any movement of money always require a fresh signature from your real wallet, no matter how long the trade agent has been active. Because it signs on your own account, you also keep your own Hyperliquid rate limits and referral status; you are trading as yourself, not through a shared intermediary (see Security & Custody).

Turning it on, and off
You enable it from the trade ticket: when you place an order, choose the option to stop being asked every time. Your wallet prompts a single approve-agent signature, which registers the trade-only key with Hyperliquid and stores it in your browser. After that, orders, cancels, leverage changes, and TP/SL sign instantly.
The key is fully revocable and self-limiting. You can revoke the trade agent at any time and it stops working immediately, or you can simply let it lapse — it lasts about seven days and then expires on its own, so nothing lingers with standing permission if you forget it. If a key has expired or is no longer recognized, whale.ag detects the stale key and asks you to approve again rather than sending an order that would fail; your orders are never dispatched with a dead key.
Good to know
The trade agent is a signing convenience, not custody. Whale.ag never holds your funds or your real private key, your wallet remains your Hyperliquid account, and only that wallet can withdraw. The key is also per-browser: it lives in the browser where you approved it, so trading from a new device or a cleared browser means approving once more there.
