Connect Your Wallet
Connecting is how whale.ag knows which account is yours, and it is deliberately the lightest step in the whole product. You sign in with email, Google, or a crypto wallet, and the wallet you connect is your Hyperliquid account — whale.ag never takes custody of your funds and never sees your private keys. Nothing is created and no money moves; connecting simply links a wallet you already own to an interface built for it.
What connecting does
There are two ways in. You can sign in with email, Google, or a crypto wallet through Privy, the login provider, or you can plug an injected browser wallet in directly. Either way the account stays entirely yours: your funds live in your own Hyperliquid account, you keep your own exchange rate limits and referral status, and only you can move anything. Because the wallet is the account, you trade as yourself rather than through a pooled whale.ag intermediary.
Verifying ownership
The first time you connect you sign a single, free message that proves the wallet is yours. It is not a transaction — it can’t move funds, cost gas, or approve a trade — it only confirms ownership. That signature starts a lightweight session that quietly persists for about 7 days, so returning later keeps you signed in without re-verifying on every visit. Signing out from your account menu ends the session immediately, and since we never hold your funds there is no whale.ag balance left behind to sweep.
On mobile the flow is intentionally smooth: no awkward double-signature and no wallet round-trips that stall on a phone, so signing in is one clean step whether you are on desktop or in a mobile wallet browser.
Signing in versus trading
Verifying your identity and signing orders run on separate paths on purpose. Login confirms who you are; placing orders uses a distinct, low-friction signing path so that being connected does not mean approving a wallet popup on every click — see One-Approval Trading. Keeping the two apart is what lets a single ~7-day session coexist with instant, uninterrupted order flow.
