Trader Discovery

Trader Discovery

Trader Discovery is a live leaderboard of real Hyperliquid traders ranked by how well they trade, not just how much they have made. It exists to answer one question quickly — which wallets are actually worth watching — and then to put you one tap away from watching them work or copying them outright. Everything here is observation of public on-chain activity, so you are only ever looking at another wallet; your funds stay in your own Hyperliquid account and nothing you do touches theirs.

The Whale score

Raw return is a poor way to rank traders because it rewards luck and leverage. The Whale score is a single quality number that blends the traits that actually signal skill, so a steady operator outranks someone riding one hot week. You can rank and filter on it directly, treating it as shorthand for “is this trader worth my attention” rather than a promise of future gains.

IngredientWhat it captures
ConsistencySteady results over time, not one-off spikes.
DrawdownHow deep the losses got — smaller is better.
SharpeReturn earned per unit of risk taken.
ConfidenceHow much the track record can be trusted.
Sample sizeEnough closed trades to mean something.

Finding a trader

The leaderboard opens ranked by Whale score, highest first. One-tap presets re-rank the whole board instantly for whatever you care about in the moment — the balanced Quality view, strongest Return for chasing upside, Safest for the lowest drawdown, Consistent for repeatable results, or Verified to see only labeled and known traders. When you want to narrow the field precisely rather than just re-sort it, the full filter panel takes over: time window, classification, minimum episodes, confidence, and Sharpe, maximum drawdown, minimum account size, a specific coin, or labeled traders only. Search by name or wallet address jumps you straight to someone you already have in mind.

The trader profile

Opening a trader gives you the whole read before you commit to anything. Their identity and Whale score sit at the top next to a one-tap Copy button, above a live account block that shows current equity and account value as they move. Below that, the decision KPIs surface the headline quality metrics behind the score, and a PnL-versus-account-value chart plots profit against how much was actually at risk over time — returns in context, not a cherry-picked number.

The rest of the profile is the live detail: open positions showing what they hold right now, a stats grid with the full breakdown of win rate, drawdown, Sharpe, episode count, and more, and the top coins they trade best. Every one of these is a jumping-off point, because tapping a position, fill, order, or coin chip starts a Snoop.

Snooping

Snooping is what turns discovery into action. From any position, fill, order, or coin on a profile, you land in the Trading Terminal for that coin with the trader’s wallet attached — their fills drawn on the chart as markers so you can see exactly where they entered and exited, and their positions and history mirrored in the dock right next to yours. You trade your own account the entire time, placing and managing your own orders; Snooping shows you their activity and never moves their money or yours. It is the closest thing to sitting at their desk: watch the trade develop, then decide whether to ride along by hand or hand it off to Copy Trading.

Good to know

Snooping is read-only on the other wallet — you are observing public on-chain activity, so you cannot act on their account and they cannot see yours. A high Whale score is a quality signal, not a guarantee; past performance never dictates future results, so always size your own risk. The leaderboard and profiles update live, so what you see is current positioning rather than a stale snapshot. If you want per-coin conviction instead of per-trader ranking, the terminal also surfaces who is crowded long or short on each market — see Smart Money Flow.
